High precision and low waste

An Amada HA400W horizontal bandsaw supplied by Birkett Cutmaster is allowing Salford-based NGK Berylco UK to cut costly precipitation-hardened Beryllium copper alloy with high precision and low waste. Stewart Emslie, general manager, says Beryllium copper alloy is a relatively high value material. The Amada bandsaws ability to reduce waste material to minimal levels, while providing fast, accurate cutting to fine tolerances, was a prime consideration in selecting it for our stock-holding centre. The saw is operator-friendly and, being fully automatic, it is easily pre-set to produce batch quantities of cut-to-length products at the push of a button. It stops automatically when reaching the required output, leaving our operator free to attend to other duties. All functions are operated from a central panel, with controls clearly indicating the operating sequence.
