Leak-free
July 1st 2005 The self-contained, leak-free range of Nikkiso canned motor pumps has been extended with the introduction of the HK Series, a high head, high speed version of the sealless centrifugal pumps.
Available through Michael Smith Engineers, the pumps provide capacities to 14.5m3/h, heads to 290m at speeds to 8400RPM.
The canned motor pump, originally designed to meet zero leakage and maximum reliability demands of the nuclear power environment, is now used widely in general industry. Units cope with aggressive, inflammable, explosive and toxic clean liquids.
The Nikkiso pump is hermetically sealed and provides primary and secondary fluid containment. As pump and motor are combined, the number of wearing parts is reduced. More articles from Michael Smith Engineers Ltd: |
