SIC Marking has developed for the commercial vehicle maker LDV a bespoke scribing solution based on its i111s machine.

Simple to operate, quiet and cost effective, the system meets all health and safety criteria and integrates seamlessly with LDV’s production processes.

It was developed in response to regulations requiring Vehicle Identification Numbers to be located in three places on a vehicle: engine, chassis and a position that can be viewed through the windscreen.

SIC Marking specialises in industrial marking and traceability and can create turnkey solutions. Scribing guarantees reliable and permanent marking directly onto the material.

The marking, text or logo is produced by the scribing of a stylus mounted onto a pneumatic integrated air cylinder. The movements of the stylus are generated by an X-Y table and powered by an independent electronic controlle
