Reduces risk
July 1st 2005

Designed to cope with high flow rates, the CEJN Series 410 vented safety coupling is now available from Tom Parker.

Sudden component separation is a danger when disconnecting couplings and operator safety may be compromised. The 410 disconnects in two stages so that the coupling is vented and the risk of, sudden component separation is minimised.

There is a short delay when the operator pulls the coupling and nipple apart, during which the parts are held together with latches. The company says this is a crucial pause that ensure pressure has time to drop before coupling and nipple are separated. Series 410 has a working capacity to 3700L/min and is said to be much quieter than standard couplings.
