Sound work September 1st 2006 Agricultural vehicle manufacturer, John Deere, has improved audibility at its Nottinghamshire training centre by installing DecoSound and SoftSound by Hodgson & Hodgson Group.
The four workshops were highly reverberant. Hodgson & Hodgson Group's consultant engineers recommended that a reduction in the reverberation time (RT) of more than 2sec could be achieved by fitting specially constructed acoustic panels to three walls.
DecoSound is made from a semi-rigid mineral wool, faced on one side with non-woven mineralfibre tissue.
An RT reduction of more than 2sec was required in the cafeteria too. Here, SoftSound wall panels were installed in conjunction with Decosound – used as a ceiling panel. More articles from Hodgson & Hodgson: |
