Clean coat
March 1st 2006

In a recent six month trial in a passenger vehicle assembly paint shop, a KPAK 8" UF module from Koch Membrane Systems sustained output approximately 25% higher than a similarly sized conventional element in a cathodic electrocoat paint process.

The KMS KPAK 8" is a spiral wound membrane element in a self-contained disposable housing.

It features a higher permeate output relative to paint feed. It is made from the same materials as conventional spirals, including the permeate carrier and the epoxy. KPAK modules use the same potting and packaging technology that is employed in tubular and hollow fibre UF cartridges.

the potted construction allows for zero by-pass of paint or cleaning solution, resulting in an easier cleaning process which, together with easy removal, reduces downtime.
