Shot peening investment
March 1st 2006

Wheelabrator Group has completed a Ł500 000 investment in premises for its specialist shot peening product range, Impact Finishers.

Two new sites have given a combined extra working area of 35 000ft2 and the ability to house Ł400 000 of new equipment, leading to an increase in production capability and efficiency.

Existing machinery worth Ł2m has been relocated and the move will allow a range of new equipment to be made available to customers, including a multipurpose shot peening machine.

The move follows the opening earlier this year of a Ł250 000 facility in Cork.

Impact Finishers' team provides sub-contract services to the automotive, aerospace and medical industries, as well as for power generation and petrochemical plant companies.
