Smp's special thixotropy
January 1st 2008

Huntsman Advanced Materials has developed RenPaste 4666, a Seamless Modelling Paste that is designed to use modern, automated, rapid manufacturing systems, while still being suitable for refined hand application.

This has been achieved through a special 'chemical thixotropy' developed by Huntsman that enables the user to alter the SMP rheology by simply changing the mixing parameters.

The programmable Paste Rheology or PPR changes the SMP's characteristics from a fluid paste that can be applied down to 10mm thickness, to a viscous material for application up to 40mm, with no slump or excessive exotherm.
