May 1st 2006 Blue Diamond, the Southern-based engineering company, has invested in the latest inspection and measurement technology so it can quickly and accurately inspect and measure engineering components.
The multi-sensor co-ordinate vision system supplied by Baty International will measure complex engineering components in many different materials. By comparing the measurements obtained from the component with the dimensions and tolerances on the engineering drawing, the software produces a detailed report showing any dimensions that are outside the dimensional tolerances.
The Baty system features dual moniyors - one to display the live image and the other to show the engineeringh drawing of the component. A further benefit is that the visionmeasuring system can be used to create 2D engineering drawings by simply sacnnibng an existing component.
