Translates CAM tool paths for routing robots
May 1st 2008

To implement robotic routing applications using tool paths generated in computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software, KMT Robotic Solutions is offering the CamPro CADCAM system for use with its cost-effective, turnkey RoboTrim 6-axis robotic router trimming systems.

The offline programming capability offered by the software seamlessly integrates into the RoboTrim trimming systems Using an off-line programming tool such as CamPro is said to increase productivity by separating most of the programming time required from the actual machine The graphical simulation capability of CamPro allows for the robot program to be checked offline, identifying interference situations before they occur on the actual equipment.

This saves programmers time and results in more parts being made per hour, while offering enhanced trimming flexibility and cost savings through increased productivity, uptime and safety.
