Esab is offering a free Pipelines Welding Handbook in the form of a CD-ROM. This explains the various techniques and consumables used when welding pipelines.

In addition, the CD carries information relating to common defects and their remedies. While manual metal arc welding remains popular, the use of semi-automated and fully-automated welding processes is accelerating due to the benefits offered by these high efficiency alternatives. all three processes are covered in detail within the CD-ROM, and there is a useful side-by-side comparison.
