Long life for 'O'Ring November 1st 2005 A leaflet from Dichtomatik details the benefits of its Teflonencapsulated FEP 'O' rings.
Especially suited to operation in hostile sealing environments, the rings feature a high level of resistance to solvents and most chemicals, with a temperature performance range of -60 to 205°C.
Other benefits include low coefficient of friction, good shore hardness (85 to 95 average), low vapour permeability and minimal water absorption - for static or dynamic requirements.
The company says the rings are designed to outperform conventional fluroelastomer, rubber and solid PTFE alternatives and that they provide a cost effective alternative to specialist compounds such as FFKM. More articles from Dichtomatik Ltd: |
