Bridge role for welding firm

The recently completed San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge mega project led by the American Bridge–Fluor joint venture and sub-contracted to Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co (ZPMC) has been completed in Shanghai and shipped to America. During construction, ZPMC experienced weldingrelated issues that had to be resolved before components could be shipped to America.

ESAB China's welding engineers worked closely with other ESAB experts to run trials and to help introduce new welding procedures and consumables to resolve the welding issues.

ESAB China supplied 12 x 40ft containers of specialised welding wire called ESAB DualShield 70 Ultra Plus.
