Handbook as CD
July 1st 2010 ESAB has produced a CD
version of its technical
handbook – Submerged
Arc Welding.
The A4 printed
document contains almost
100 pages.While this is
suitable as a library copy,
the CD format is, for
many, easier to transport
and use, and pages can be emailed to
welding operatives on site.
As with the paper copy, the CD is
split into specific areas. The first
being the flux selection, followed by
clear flux product data pages which
are supported by high
quality photographs,
diagrams and charts.
The general information
section contains 30 pages
covering troubleshooting,
data on weld metal alloying,
the automation process
and SAW joint
preparations, as well as the
