Manual metal arc welding machines
May 1st 2009 ESAB is launching the Origo Arc
4001i manual metal arc (MMA)
welding machines with a choice of
either A22 or A24 control panel. The
400A power sources have been
optimised for MMA applications –
whether for fabrication, on-site
installation, repair or maintenance,
both indoors and outdoors.
The machines are designed for a
long, trouble-free service life even in
harsh operating conditions. For
example, there is a rugged galvanised
steel chassis, reliable IGBT inverter
technology, a CAN bus to minimise
internal wiring, and a dust filter.
A further reported advantage of the
IGBT inverter is that it helps to deliver
outstanding welding characteristics,
plus it enables the power source to
