Flashback arrestors
July 1st 2007 Murex Saffire flashback arrestors
provide a high level of protection
for the operator and his equipment
in the event of a flashback caused
by conditions such as sustained
backfire, incorrect hose purging or
simply the wrong gas pressure.
Two types
are offered:
the Saffire
36ec conforms
to the
requirements
of
EN730,
has a
pressure
sensitive cutoff,
and is
suitable for
acetylene, propane,
oxygen and hydrogen.
The Saffire XL is a cylindrical
arrestor with an advanced design
that gives a high flow rate.
Internally, it has a large cylindrical
flame-arresting element, automatic
reset, non-return valve and heat
