Mechan is adding wheel lathes and wheel presses from France’s Sogema Engineering to complement the under car handling systems it designs in house. This specialist equipment is used in the production and maintenance of wheelsets and can be adapted to any type of rail vehicle, from light metro to freight trains. 

Mechan is also  introducing exhaust extraction systems from German firm, Blaschke. These capture diesel emissions and ensure all hazardous gas is disposed of safely. The products can be tailored to any locomotive and can reduce both energy consumption and noise levels.
