The new UVX – Universal Video eXtensometer incorporates many of the features of Imetrum’s UVX-Flexi system incorporating Video Gauge software, but it has been simplified for routine, high volume materials testing. The UVX is suitable for production facilities and test houses that provide third party client services on a wide variety of material types, sizes and specifications.

Imetrum will also demonstrate the UVX-Flexi system, a video extensometer that is capable of achieving the exacting requirements of ISO527-1: 2012, ASTM D638 equivalent. 

Imetrum’s UVX systems have been specifically designed for use with tensile testing machines and comprise a controller with sophisticated Video Gauge software, one or more high-resolution digital video cameras and an appropriate lens for the application. Also included are a voltage output module for interfacing with traditional strain channels, lighting, a tripod (for use with UVX-Flexi only) and a rugged case for storage and transportation. The system is straightforward and intuitive to use and is said to have many distinct advantages over traditional contact methods, such as clip-on extensometers and strain gauges. Stand F111
