Jarshire has represented IPS in this territory since 2005. Harris’ own UK-based Parts and Service operation will assume responsibility for the after-sales care of both lines, whilst long-standing former distributor, John Scholefield of Eurobalers, will act as Jarshire’s consultant for the Harris range. 

Harris UK and Jarshire are working together to expand the former’s parts stock-holding and to develop service coverage to cater for all their customers’ needs. 

Commenting, Jarshire Director, Nick Jobson said: ‘Bringing together Harris and IPS will create a business with extensive knowledge and a wealth of experience in the supply of size reduction equipment to the waste, recovered paper and metal recycling industries. Together with Harris/IPS, we look forward to playing our part in developing an efficient and dependable sales and after-sales organisation’.

Harris UK General Manager and Harris RSM for Europe, Peter Coates added: ‘Harris is delighted to be able to work with Jarshire and to give them the opportunity to build on their success over the last 10 years. Also, we wish to thank John Scholefield of Eurobalers for all his work for Harris since first joining the company in the 1970’s. Harris and Jarshire will be working in conjunction with John as he continues his activities within the used/refurbished machinery market, and we wish him all success in these endeavours’.

Jointly, Harris/IPS have over 100 two-ram balers in the UK and Ireland, baling a variety of materials including plastics, N/F metals, RDF, paper and board. Through Jarshire, they also offer an extensive range of open- and closed-end horizontal balers, as well as balers, shears and shredders for ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
