Heating technology manufacturer,
Vaillant, returned to Conveyor
Systems to re-configure and relocate
one of its three CSL packaging
conveyor lines, modifying PLC
software to handle a new product.

The automatic, heavy duty system
was designed to transport a central
heating boiler on a polystyrene base
to an ergonomic position for quick,
safe packing in an 875mm high
cardboard sleeve, prior to banding.

Product is transferred down an
inclined conveyor to a low level
gravity conveyor to provide optimum
working height for applying
packaging. It is moved on powered
roller conveyor and singulated by
means of an automatic stop, indexing
product feed to two inline banders to
secure the load. Product is then
accumulated at the end of the line to
be removed and palletised.
