Stafford General Hospital,
Safesite has installed a comprehensive
safety system incorporating System
2000 cantilever guardrail and
Demarcation
Stafford General Hospital’s plant
and machinery, such as air
conditioning units, is housed on the
various department roofs. This meant
that with contractors and employees
needing to access the roofs for
maintenance or repair of the units it
was vital that a safe means of access
was provided at all times.

Installed on the Hospital’s main
entrance, Critical Care, X-Ray and
GU department roofs, Safesite’s BBA
approved System 2000 and
demarcation systems provide a
permanent form of edge protection.

System 2000 provides edge protection
around the air conditioning units,
while the Demarcation system has
been installed as a link between access
points and the units.

Both System 2000 and
Demarcation are freestanding, which
means that they do not need to be
mechanically fixed to the roof itself,
eliminating risk of damage to the
roof’s membrane.
