Semta is the employer-led skills
council for Science, Engineering and
Manufacturing Technologies in the
UK; including aerospace, automotive,
bioscience, electrical, electronics,
maintenance, marine, mathematics,
mechanical, metals and engineered
metal products and science. Its role is
to raise skills levels and
competitiveness in the 76,000
companies and 2 million-strong
workforce that make up these sectors.

Semta’s National Skills Academy
for Manufacturing delivers an
independent national standard for
manufacturing training content,
delivery and process by focusing on
business return. The Skills Academy’s
e-learning centre established in
partnership with Gatlin, provider of
online courses, offers a comprehensive
collection of courses in engineering
and manufacturing. Subjects include:
CNC,Materials Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Auto CAD,
Basic Pneumatics, Hydraulics and
Electrical, to name but a few.

Also available are EEF Health,
Safety, Climate and Environmental
(HSCE) training courses.
