The 4 pole D-Coded M12 plug has been developed for Industrial Ethernet applications that require a robust and reliable connection. Offering data transfer rates to 100Mbit/s the 4 pole M12 D-coded Field plug is well suited to PROFINET and EtherNet I/P applications.

The M12 plug is made from die cast zinc and offers a 360° shield around the cable. There is no requirement for special tools, and it can be connected in the field quickly and easily. The M12 D-Code field plug will accept cable ODs from 5 to 9.7mm and conductor sizes AWG 26/7 – 22/7 and AWG 24/1 – 22/1. As standard the M12 plug offers a high mechanical and electrical resistance, along with an IP67 rating in mated form. 

METZ CONNECT offers 2-pair twisted-pair connectors with D-coding as well as 4-pair twisted-pair connectors with X-coding for higher data transfer rate up to 10Gbit.
