Crown’s ESR 5000 reach truck
series has won the IDEA Gold
Award 2010 in the
‘Commercial and
Industrial Equipment’ category,
making Crown the winner of this
coveted award for the fifth year in
a row.

The International Design
Excellence Awards (IDEA)
competition is organised by the
Industrial Designers Society of
America (IDSA). Various
criteria are used to judge
entries, such as innovation, benefit
to the user, benefit to society and
natural ecology, and sustainability.

Jim Kraimer, director Industrial
Design Europe at Crown, is
delighted by the award: “When
judging these awards, the IDEA
panel is particularly concerned
that the prize-winning products
should meet the highest standards
of performance, user-friendliness,
safety and ergonomics.
