Although only officially
launched in Europe in June,
in-field test results for the G4
pump range from Linatex (available
both in rubber and hard metal) have
shown a range of benefits.

G4 rubber pumps incorporate
Linatex premium rubber liners to
afford long service life in abrasive
slurry and chemical applications.

The hydraulic design is said to
reduce internal turbulence and
minimise power draw.

An interchangeable drive frame
allows the pump to be modified with
only the wet end being replaced. This
makes it easy to switch from hard
metal to rubber, depending on the
application. Internal components are
easily accessible, making servicing
easier, quicker and safer.

In a recent field test, a major sand
and gravel processor challenged
Linatex to cut overall operating costs
within its coarse and fine sand slurry
applications.

A conventional 8in, 75HP pump
was replaced with an 8in, 60HP G4
rubber pump in its coarse sand
application, while in the company’s
fine sand application, a standard 6in
30HP pump was replaced with a 6in,
25HP G4 rubber pump.

Based on 22,400 annual operating
hours, the 8in pump delivered a
17.5% reduction in power draw and
the 6in pump delivered a 43.75%
reduction in power draw over the
model it replaced.
