The £1.3m office block consists of a reception, board room, training facility, open plan office, individual offices and a canteen, along with toilets, showers and changing facilities. The main element of the project was to design and install a purpose-built two-tier office mezzanine that incorporated the existing structure.

Neil Emmott, marketing manager at Avanta UK, says: “This was the fourth fit-out project carried out by Avanta for the ICS Cool Energy as we were delighted to be awarded this contract as it is exactly what we do. The project ran smoothly and the company now has an efficient hub in the North and a superb facility for future growth.”

During the refurbishment process, Avanta UK was responsible for a multitude of activities including re-cladding the entire building along with the creation and implementation of new windows, signage, fencing and a parking barrier. On top of this, 82 bays of pallet racking, two large roller shutter doors and fire doors were supplied and installed, along with a general warehouse equipment including hazardous cabinets, mobile steps and sack carts.

Avanta UK, within the scope of this huge project also provided design & space planning, all electrical and mechanical works, office partitions, suspended ceilings and office & breakout furniture.
