Light fittings: Replacement programme

Sabic UK Petrochemicals operates two sites in the N.E. of England – at Wilton and North Tees – and produces chemical products such as petrochemicals and polymers. The company is currently replacing its light fittings with TNAML units.

The TNAML light fitting was first introduced to Sabic in 2012. Engineers immediately identified the benefits of the lighting which is maintenance-free, carries a 10 year warranty and has physical robustness with high performance levels over the life time of the fitting.

More recently, new cracker plants have been built to process ethane, a bi-product of shale gas. A pipeline from North Tees to Wilton provides this and, again, TNAML fittings were installed.

So far, more than 270 TNAML light fittings have been installed and no failures have been reported to date. For more information, contact STL International.
