New developments in the GPS dramatically improve accuracy of the model of machining processes by including force balancing between tool and work and, in the Advanced level, calculating the influence of micro-geometry for high accuracy results.

By integrating the software with machine tools and inspection equipment, errors in gear form from effects of tool wear and thermal distortion can be corrected for in-process if necessary. These techniques, often termed 'Closed Loop', can also be applied to novel designs with better performance to take advantage of flexible and accurate production equipment available today.

The software can incorporate alternatives to dedicated gear production equipment by using flexible multi-axis CNCs and CMMs enabling production previously cost and time prohibitive.
