As part of a lean manufacturing
initiative Spirax Sarco has taken
delivery of a PH Cleantec industrial
machine cleaning system from acs. The
1000SRE system is a low pressure unit
for indoor use and it can be efficiently
wheeled around the machine shop to
each machine, where it cleans with
water or machine coolant that can be
heated up to 95°C.

“Thoroughly cleaning a machine
used to take a week on average using
water and rags, we can now do a
machine in a day with the Cleantec
1000SRE. The hot water removes oil,
grease, swarf and even loose paint from
the oldest machines, so water
consumption is a lot less and we have
no oily rags to dispose of,” said
machine shop cleaning operative,Mike
McMahon.
