Axis Group partners with LP Networks to support Successful Mums
Axis Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing security, cleaning, front-of-house and support services organisations, has partnered with its IT support supplier, LP Networks, in an initiative to recycle laptops and, in turn, support charities.
The ongoing initiative aims to reduce waste, support charitable organisations and adhere to GDPR legislation, with 15 laptops donated so far to the not-for-profit Successful Mums organisation. Successful Mums provides training and advice for women returning to work. In just four years it has helped 5000 women to build their careers and businesses through training, networking and mentoring programmes.
LP Networks has wiped the Axis Group-owned laptops to the new GDPR-compliant standards, installed compliant Windows 10 software and upgraded the SSD hardware. Lee Pepper, managing director of LP Networks, says it’s an initiative that benefits multiple parties: “We are extremely pleased to provide Successful Mums with laptops that are entirely fit for the training purposes they require, and also be reducing waste and supporting GDPR.”
Simon Giles, Axis Group finance director, agrees that companies have a responsibility to support local charities and the environment: “This is an ideal use of laptops with plenty of life in them for other purposes. The LP Networks team has also done a fantastic job in upgrading them so that Successful Mums can make use of them for years to come.”
Jane Knight, founder of Successful Mums, says she is absolutely delighted with the new laptops: “We are extremely thankful for this initiative that will help us to deliver further training, and help more women build successful careers following motherhood.”
