Durapipe ABS pipework has
been specified for a new
manufacturing facility at the
Cambridge headquarters of
printing solutions company,
Xaar.

Environmental control
specialist Comec was tasked
to construct a temperature
controlled clean room
environment for the new
inkjet manufacturing facility,
for which a high quality air
conditioning system was
needed. Comec has been
impressed with the
performance and quality of
Durapipe ABS pipework on
similar applications in the
past and therefore decided it
was a suitable pipework
system to transport chilled
water for the air conditioning
system at the new Xaar
facility.

Durapipe ABS pipework
has been specified in sizes
50mm 125mm to carry
chilled water from an external
chiller system 90m away from
the building. The water is
then transported into the
pumping room and then on
to the air conditioning system
in the clean room to cool the
room.
