Aetna Group has supplied
McKechnie Plastic Components
with the latest Rotoplat 507 to wrap
products that can range from small,
irregular shaped items to big, heavy
parts at its site in North Yorkshire.

The company’s plastic
components are palletised prior to
transportation, so the pallet
wrapper has to
be both
flexible and
reliable. A
typical output
is 150-200
pallets/day, 7
days a week.

The
company has
found that
having preprogrammable
wrappers, which can
store a variety of information, has
improved the palletising process,
and it says that the power prestretch
is saving up to 60% on film
use. The reliability of the wrappers
helps avoid bottlenecks in the
warehouse, and the wrapper can be
moved easily by forklift.
