Quintus Systems has
introduced a new means of
automatically distributing and
controlling the free issue of PPE using
an automated dispense system driven
by its own tailor-made EPnet software.

By introducing a strictly controlled
environment, the Quintus method
saves on labour costs and reduces
stock loss. The system works with the
installation of a glass-fronted
merchandiser that is configured to
dispense PPE. Items such as
engineering consumables could be
included at management’s discretion.

Staff use the machine to draw all
the protective equipment they need
using a card or fob. As the PPE is
dispensed automatically, there is no
labour cost associated with the issue,
no payment to reclaim and each
allocation is recorded against a staff
member’s name, so total control and
accountability is assured.

The EPnet PPE software is
integrated with the existing security
access control system. This is done
remotely. Every transaction is
recorded in real time and reported to
a remote PC.
