Wardle Spring Water
Company has been supplied
with a new, energy-efficient
HPC SXC 5.5kW compressor
by Thorite to power its water
filtration system and bottling
plant in Rochdale.

Wardle extracts water
under pressure by borehole
from an underground lake
deep below the Pennine hills
and markets it under the
Purely Pennine Spring Water
brand.
Lee Hardman, company
secretary, says: “Our previous
compressor used to be
pounding away non-stop from
the moment it was turned on
in the morning until close
down. The HPC machine
senses when compressed air
is required and quietly clicks
on and off to meet demand,
which is going to bring long
term savings in energy costs.”
