Food producers take great care
to ensure products are not
contaminated. A typical
example is the German company,
Laux, where product quality is
paramount. Because metal fragments
may be present in the incoming raw
materials or enter the product
during the manufacturing process,
Laux inspect every jar of its herbs
and spices at the end-of-line,
immediately before despatch.

Laux needs to make the best use of
the available space but cannot compromise
the reliability of the
inspection process. To satisfy both
parameters, an ECOLINE-D metal
detection system from S+S inspects
all its glass jars of herbs and spices.

The ECOLINE-D features GLS
coil technology that allows a very
small metal-free zone around the
machine while maintaining the
sensitivity demanded by Laux’s
quality assurance policy. The length
of the S+S system is just 750mm.
