Thompson Primary School
in Norfolk has taken positive
steps to save money and
improve safety for both staff
and pupils by fitting
GlassGuard BlackBand
coated fluorescent lamps and
new IP65 fixtures.

GlassGuard’s IP65 T5
fixtures have been installed in
the main hall, staff room and
foundation class room,
delivering an energy saving of
37% in these areas. The
installation of just 22 of the
fixtures will save the school
1kW of energy per hour,
which equates to a cash
saving £182 per year, a
significant sum for a small
school and an indication of
the energy saving
opportunities for larger
installations.
