Italian stainless steel weld cleaning
equipment manufacturer, Nitty-
Gritty, has launched a new weld
pickling and passivation concept
with its Pick & Clean product range.

UK agent,Meister Abrasives UK, will
provide sales and technical support.

The product comprises two key
elements. Pick is a wipe soaked with
a pickling acid gel solution that is
applied to the weld area. Developed
for stainless steel, it is said to be
particularly suitable for the pickling
and passivation of TIG/MIG/Electrode
welding on austenitic stainless steel.

The residue of the pickling gel is
then removed and neutralised using
Clean, a neutraliser wipe, soaked
with a suitable agent. The two-step
process is said to be economical and
environmentally beneficial.
