On-going product development has
led to the launch of Boge’s second
generation air or water cooled SO
series oil free screw compressors that
are said to set new standards in the
110 to 255kW performance class. In
addition to high efficiency and
reduced sound pressure levels, there’s
a new service-friendly layout.

Intake air is drawn from the
coolest area to help increase the free
air delivery and the minimisation of
internal pressure losses has led to
greater efficiency, both of which help
to improve specific power consumption.

SO-2 models now have a combined
sound and pulsation absorber. The
design and use of powerful absorbing
materials means the range operates
with improved sound pressure levels
making the new SO series quieter.

Addition of a condensate separator
in the intercooler between first and
second stage airends is said to mean
absolutely safe operation for the
second stage in applications where
there are low ambient temperatures or
where there is high humidity.

The oil cooler is now located in the
area beneath the intercooler and aftercooler,
improving access.
