The Vikan ErgoClean system
is used to clean the site of
Leicester-based Premier
Foods where more than one
million Hovis loaves are
produced each week.

Four Vikan trolleys each
with a set of different colourcoded
tools and equipment
for food, non-food,
engineering and toilet areas
now form the basis of
Premier Foods’ cleaning
operation.Tools include ultra
microfibre mops and cloths,
scrapers and spray bottles.

Site hygiene manager, Chris
Lawson, says the time savings
achieved using ErgoClean
enable the cleaning team to
perform other cleaning tasks.

Hygiene standards have
improved and it is estimated
that cost savings on effluent,
water, chemicals and
materials amount to about
£100 per week.

Lawson adds: “With better
equipment, our cleaning
team feels more professional
and take greater pride in
their work.”
