Redscan detectors from
Optex Europe are helping
prevent theft of high
value goods at a
distribution centre
near Birmingham.

After break-ins at a
previous site at which
thousands of pounds
worth of items were
stolen, stock was
moved and all
distribution
centralised.

specify a security solution.

Having worked
with Optex
Europe’s range
of detectors for
many years, he was
aware of their
capability.

“We installed
12 of the Redscan
detectors in a
virtual fence from
ceiling to floor,
which activate
eight fully
functional dome cameras to
presets and send video
alarms via an ADPRO
FastTrace2 to a monitoring
centre.We have had very few
false alarms. The speed and
ease of installation is another
bonus.”
The RLS3060 laserscan
detector can determine a
target’s size, speed and
distance from the unit. It can
be mounted to allow vertical
or horizontal detection fields
