A book distributor in the South of
England has been using up to 20
FillPak TT machines in its book
packaging operation since 2006.

However, to meet increased demand,
it needed an automated, integrated
system that would allow the
packaging of 4000+ boxes a day.
Working with an existing FillPak
converter, the solution was provided
by an Accufill system from Ranpak
that automatically scans the size of
the box and the contents to calculate
the optimum amount of void fill
required, regardless of box size. The
operator does not have to worry
about over- or under-filling and can
perform quickly and efficiently,
filling up to 12 boxes per minute.

The company had been using
FillPak paper to protect books
during shipment for several years
and, by combining it with the
Accufill system, was confident it
would see major improvements in
efficiency. The system was installed
by Ranpak with minimum disruption.
