ICS has supplied cooling
equipment to an organisation
that provides hydraulic test
bench packages used to check
hydraulic systems in aircraft.

Chilled oil is circulated
around electronics and high
tech equipment while
simulating the pressure in
certain hydraulic units to test
their ability and safety. The
process generates heat and
requires a powerful chiller
that can withstand the
outside elements.
With customers worldwide,
benches and cooling
units must withstand
extreme weather and, in
some cases, can potentially
stand idle for 6-8 months.
ICS worked closely with its
manufacturing company,
Tricool Thermal to design
and build chiller units to
meet the various site needs.

The bespoke 34kW air cooled
water chillers were built
using dual circuitry, allowing
for no single point of failure.

Chillers were fitted with
enhanced EMC protection so
that they do not interfere
with other electrical devices.
