Eclipse Magnetics’ Filtramag
system is helping Bombardier
Recreational Products (BRP)
to improve manufacturing
efficiency at its site in Austria.

BRP products include Skidoo
snowmobiles and Seadoo
watercraft. These rely on
high performance precision
manufactured drive systems.
High reject rates and
tool breakage
were
experienced on a
gun drilling
operation. Abrasive
ferrous particles
were being circulated
in coolant fluids,
causing tool breakage
and surface damage
to bushings. The
process had a barrier
filtration system but this only
removed particles down to
20 micron size.

The Filtramag
magnetic filter
removes the smallest
ferrous particles – down
to sub-micron size.

Reject rates and tool
changes caused by
ferrous contamination
have fallen to virtually
zero.
