BITA (the British Industrial Truck
Association) says orders for forklift
trucks increased by 20% in 2011,
continuing the recovery from the
market low point two years ago. In
the year to December 2011, members
reported sales of 26,100 forklift
trucks – 4300 more than in 2010.

Since December 2009, the industry
has bounced back strongly with a
48% increase in unit orders to recover
60% of its recessionary losses.
