Friction Stir Welding technology
is poised to be PTG’s star attraction,
especially in the light of the successes
the company has enjoyed recently in
China. A third order has been
received from Zhu Zhou Locomotive
for a 30m x 4m gantry Crawford
Swift ‘Powerstir’ FSW machine head
and control system, in a joint project
with China Friction Stir Welding
Centre.

Operations director Andy
