As cycle times become faster on new
machine tools the need to reduce setup
and change-over times becomes
more critical. TDT Technology says
its new Test-Rapid quick change
adaptors for ER collets will reduce
both.

They can be used with any driven
tool holders having ER16 to ER40
collets with either inner or outer collet
nuts. They can be pre-set and are
available as a standard collet, shell end
mill or Weldon unit. The driven tool
holder does not need to be removed
from the machine when setting the
machine to manufacture a different
component. The adaptors have a
maximum run out of 5µ when moved
from pre-setting device to machine
or from one base driven tool holder to
