Responding to the needs of its
European customers, Eaton has
localised the assembly and testing of
its Vickers PVM pump at its
Wehrheim facility in Germany. This
has reduced the lead time for the
most popular PVM builds to less
than eight weeks when ordered in
small or medium quantities.

expects to further decrease delivery
time during 2012.

At the same location, a dedicated
application engineering support
team provides testing capabilities and
rapid follow-up in case of technical
support requirements.

Eaton’s Vickers PVM pump is a
versatile medium pressure open
circuit variable piston pump with
displacement between 18 and 141cm3
aimed at industrial applications to
280 bar continuous pressure. It is
used in industrial power units, and
has been applied to marine and
transport applications, where low
noise is critical. Its ATEX
certification means it can be used in
potentially explosive atmospheres for
oil and gas and mining applications.
