The new VARICON+ conveyor
system from S+S Inspection is a
metal detector system designed for
ease of cleaning to meet ever
increasing hygiene standards
demanded by the food industry.

Separate motor control allows a
choice of either the recently
introduced GHF high frequency
detector head used when enhanced
stainless steel detection is a critical
need, or the established GLS detector
for less demanding roles. The
VARICON+ is constructed to
minimise the possibility of ledges
harbouring debris or dirt and the
drive is modular for ease of
maintenance. Belting can be plastic
modular or continuous food quality.

The GHF housing provides IP 65
protection for food industry
operating conditions and where
required, IP66, IP69K options are
available. The smooth, surface finish
with the GENIUS+ ‘Touch’ control
system integrated and sealed into the
head meets the most demanding
requirements for hygiene and ease of
cleaning.

The GLS equipped variant uses
the Genius+ control mounted on the
detector head. Both control systems
use digital signal processing and
quartz stabilised search frequencies
combined with microprocessor
control to allow precise matching to
the demands of specific applications.
