SCP UK has risen to the
challenge of maintaining stock
levels in a smaller warehouse
footprint with the help of an Aisle-
Master articulated forklift at one of
its UK operations in Crawley.

Following a rationalisation of
premises, warehouse manager, Joe
Taylor, had 26,700ft2 at his disposal
rather than 41,000ft2 for the storage
of items such as hot tubs, spas and
pallets of equipment such as pumps
and filters. He needed a truck that
would work in narrow aisles indoors
and offload in the yard. Local
supplier, Mexmast, recommended
the Aisle-Master.

Taylor says: “The limited
manoeuvrability of our old reach
truck would have meant aisle widths
of about 6m for some of our larger
loads whcih are 8ft square. With the
Aisle-Master we were able to put
racking much closer together.”
Telescopic forks and hydraulic
fork positioners make light work of
handling SCP’s diverse load sizes.

The ability to adjust forks from the
cab reduces manual effort and
enables quick turnaround.
