ATC Semitec now stocks motor
protection PTCs to complement its
range of re-settable thermal cut-outs.

The new SPMP PTCs are available
with trip temperatures from 60 to
190°C and comply with the DIN
44081 industry standard.

The small PTC bead is protected
with epoxy resin and a shrink sleeve.

The sensing head is just 4mm max.

diameter and gives a thermal response
of less than 5s. The standard version
has 200mm long 26AWG PTFE
leads; with longer leads, triplet
versions (to DIN 44082) and various
mounting options available.

Although designed for electric
motor protection, the sensors offer a
neat solution to many electrical and
electronic circuits that require a
simple step-function response to an
over-temperature condition.
